Lap Joint Flanges Manufacturer

Lap Joint Flange Manufacturer

Lap Joint Flange Manufacturer, Supplier And Exporter

Ecostain Rainbow is a popular lap joint flange manufacturer, supplier and exporter in India that prioritizes quality by following ASME/ANSI/IS/DIN/BS/JIS standards. We have an exclusive range of standard size lap joint flanges that are ready to be delivered immediately. Our commitment to quality extends beyond lap joint flanges, encompassing various flange types from ½ inch to a massive 48 inches, all crafted from premium materials while sticking to strict international standards. Whatever your project demands are, Ecostain Rainbow has the lap joint flanges to help with its flawless completion.

Lap joint flanges consist of two components: a flat-faced flange and a stub end. The stub end is welded to the pipe, while the flange slides over the stub end without any welding. The connection is secured with bolts that pass through holes in the flange and lap joint assembly. These flanges are used in applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly, such as piping systems subject to maintenance or modifications, offshore platforms, and shipbuilding.

All Flanges with standard sizes and materials are readily available in stock for immediate delivery. "Looking for large diameter Flanges ? Contact us today for Customized Flanges.

Lap joint flanges consist of two main components:

Flange: The flange is a flat, circular disc with a raised face and bolt holes around the perimeter for attaching to the mating flange or equipment. The raised face provides a sealing surface for gaskets. The inner diameter of the flange is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the stub end, allowing the flange to slide over the stub end.

Stub End: The stub end is a short piece of pipe with a beveled end that is welded to the pipe. It has the same outer diameter as the pipe and fits inside the flange. The stub end is welded to the pipe, while the flange is free to rotate around the stub end, providing flexibility and ease of alignment during installation.

To install a Lap Joint Flange, the stub end is welded to the pipe, and then the flange is placed over the stub end. The flange is aligned with the mating flange or equipment, and then the bolts are inserted through the bolt holes and tightened to create a seal.

Applications of Lap Joint Flange

Piping Systems with Rotational Freedom: They are used in piping systems where rotational freedom and easy alignment are required during installation, such as in offshore platforms, shipbuilding, and large-scale industrial facilities.

High-Temperature Applications: LJ Flanges are employed in high-temperature piping systems where thermal expansion and contraction may occur, allowing for flexibility and stress relief at the joint.

Temporary Connections: They are used as temporary connections or test flanges in piping systems for bypass piping, pressure testing, or temporary repairs.

Corrosive Environments: Lap Joint Flanges are suitable for corrosive environments where the flange material may need to be different from the pipe material, as the stub end can be made of a different material than the flange.

Advantages of Lap Joint Flange

With years of experience as a lap joint flange manufacturer, we make sure our lap joint flanges are

  • Easy to Assemble: LJ Flanges allow for easy assembly and disassembly of piping systems, making them ideal for applications requiring frequent maintenance or modifications.
  • Flexibility: The rotational freedom provided by the stub end allows for easy alignment and adjustment during installation, reducing the risk of misalignment and stress on the piping system.
  • Cost-Effective: They are typically more cost-effective compared to other types of flanges, as they require less welding and fabrication time.
  • Versatility: Lap Joint Flanges can be used with a wide range of pipe materials, sizes, and schedules, providing flexibility in piping system design.

Testing

We conduct a series of testing procedures to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our Flanges.

These tests are conducted at various stages of manufacturing, from raw material inspection to the final product testing.

  • Dimensional Inspection
  • Visual Inspection
  • Non-Destructive Testing
